The 49ers suddenly have a huge void in their receiving corps as they chase another Super Bowl berth: Michael Crabtree is sidelined after surgery on his right Achilles tendon. San Francisco’s leading wide receiver underwent surgery Wednesday, though the team is optimistic he will return at some point in 2013. Guard Snyder returns to 49ers

The 49ers signed Adam Snyder for two years, re-uniting the guard with the team after a one-year absence. Snyder, 31, appeared in 121 games during his eight-year NFL career that began with the Niners in 2005. He spent the 2012 season with the Arizona Cardinals. Read More
