An apartment fire in San Francisco's Richmond district on Sunday evening was quickly contained by the building sprinkler system, a San Francisco fire dispatcher said.
Firefighters responded to a 6:40 p.m. report that a two-story building was on fire at Geary Boulevard and 17th Avenue, the fire dispatcher said.
Arriving crews found a room in the building had caught fire, but had been extinguished by the building's sprinkler system.
