The U.S. Coast Guard, Marin County Fire and Golden Gate National Recreation Area rescued four swimmers pulled in to the Pacific Ocean Wednesday night by a strong wave.The call for rescue was received by the Golden Gate National Recreation Area around 6 p.m. for a report of four people in the water. Three men were rescued off the coast of San Francisco this morning after their crab boat capsized, a Coast Guard spokeswoman said.The Coast Guard received a mayday call over the radio at around 12:40 a.m., Petty Officer Laura Alcon said.A crab boat capsized near the Cliff House and three people fell into the water before climbing into a life raft, Alcon said.Coast Guard crews rescued the stranded boaters and no serious injuries were reported. The U.S. Coast Guard rescued a man from the Bay near the San Mateo Bridge this morning. The California Highway Patrol notified the Coast Guard at 7:19 a.m. that there was a person in the water near the western end of the bridge, Lt. j.g. Jeremy Pichette said. Man taken into custody after threatening to jump off Bay Bridge

A man who had been standing on the ledge of the Bay Bridge for about two hours this afternoon was taken into custody by the California Highway Patrol at about 4:40 p.m., an officer said. A man was rescued from the water after his boat sank near the Emeryville Marina in the San Francisco Bay Wednesday afternoon, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.The 35-year-old man from Lafayette made a distress call that his fishing boat was rapidly taking on water at about 3 p.m., officials said.Responding crews found the man floating with a life vest near his sunken 32-foot boat, according to the Coast Guard. Three kayakers were rescued from San Francisco Bay this afternoon and were transported to a local hospital, a San Francisco fire dispatcher said.The fire department received a call at 4:08 p.m. reporting several overturned kayaks near McCovey Cove, which is where the Bay meets Mission Creek near San Francisco's AT&T Park.The fire dispatcher said at 4:45 p.m. that two of the victims had been located and that the Coast Guard was assisting with a search for the third.
