Authorities said a drunken man who was urinating at the back of a building in Half Moon Bay on Sunday exposed himself to a woman who caught him red-handed.
Sheriff’s deputies responding to the 500 block of Kelly Avenue about 7:45 p.m. determined that the man was “too intoxicated to care for himself.”

Cops thwarted a robbery in South of Market on Sunday night and shot at the alleged thief after he drew a gun, police Sgt. Michael Andraychak said. Derryck King, 39, of Hayward was arrested on charges of robbery and assault with a deadly weapon after trying to steal a 30-year-old woman’s purse, Andraychak said. The officers were driving through the intersection of Mission and Fremont streets about 10:40 p.m. when they heard a woman scream, Andraychak said.

The City announced it will shell out $775,000, in addition to future rent costs, to create a police substation on Sixth Street in the mid-Market Street area.
The Board of Supervisors Budget and Finance Committee approved the plan Wednesday over concerns about the cost and effectiveness of the substation. It could open in summer, around the same time micro-blogging service Twitter is expected to move its headquarters into the area.

A man was stabbed in the thigh Tuesday night in South of Market, police said Wednesday.
The victim and suspect began arguing in the 1100 block of Howard Street about 6:15 p.m. before the victim punched the suspect, police said. The suspect then reportedly grabbed a steak knife and stabbed the victim in his thigh, but the injury was not life-threatening.
Officers arrived and took the stabbing suspect into custody.

Stabbing victim rushed to hospital A man was found by police after being stabbed in the South of Market area Tuesday morning, Sgt. Daryl Fong said.The victim, described as being in his 40s, was discovered in the 1100 block of Folsom Street near Eighth Street about 5:52 a.m., Fong said. He had suffered a stab wound to his upper body. He was transported to a hospital for his injury, which was not considered to be life-threatening, Fong said.

San Francisco police reportedly arrested a man Monday morning who was at a pawn shop trying to sell two computers labeled as San Francisco State University property following a break-in at the school recently. The Humanities Building at SFSU was broken into over the weekend and two iMac computers were stolen, school spokeswoman Ellen Griffin said. There was broken glass and damage to some windows and the room where the two computers were stolen.
