Early in the young basketball season and in University High School’s run to the NorCal Division V championship game last year, senior Noah Springwater has established himself as one of the best guards in The City.Apparently others also took notice as well, as Springwater has verbally committed to play for Columbia University next year.

Marin Academy set the tone early, scoring three goals in the first 20 minutes as the visiting Wildcats shut out University High School on Monday at Crocker Amazon Playground.
Marin controlled all 80 minutes of the game, ultimately pulling away for a 7-0 rout. The ending score was especially surprising, because the two teams played to a scoreless tie in their first meeting on Oct. 6.

Kezar Stadium will be the site on Oct. 10 for the first Division I men’s lacrosse game between top 20 programs ever to be played in Northern California. The San Francisco Fall Lacrosse Classic will feature an offseason scrimmage between two of the nation’s top collegiate lacrosse programs, the University of North Carolina and Brown University.
