Three Bay Area schools were selected Monday for the 64-team NCAA Division I college baseball tournament, including USF, which will be making its first trip to the postseason since 2006.
The Dons will be part of the UCLA regional. The Bruins (33-21) are the regional’s No. 1 seed, UC Irvine (39-16) is the second seed, Fresno State (40-14) is the third seed and USF is the fourth seed. USF opens regional play against UCLA on Friday at 6 p.m.
