Redwood High School lauded by state schools chief

Jack O’Connell, the state superintendent of schools, this week named Redwood High School in Redwood City as a 2011 Model Continuation High School for its programs helping students stay in school. Twenty-seven schools were selected for the honor statewide. Selected schools retain their titles for three years and must submit an annual assurance of compliance with guidelines. Read More

The U.S. history, economics and advanced placement U.S. government teacher at Abraham Lincoln High School in The City was named Thursday by California Superintendent of Public Instruction Jack O’Connell as one of five outstanding teachers comprising the 2010 California Teachers of the Year.
