A man was robbed of his bottle of booze and assaulted with it in the Mid-Market area Sunday, police said. The 22-year-old victim bought a bottle of alcohol in the 100 block of Sixth Street around 1:15 a.m. and exited the store, police said. Upon leaving he was confronted by a man in his 30s who took the bottle away and smashed the victim in the face with it. A fight ensued wherein the suspect was also injured before he fled. He was later arrested.

The 28-year-old victim was listening to his MP3 player at Santos Street and Geneva Avenue around 7:20 a.m. when two men aged 18 to 20 approached and grabbed for the victim’s MP3 player, police said.
