Couple crooks stick it to their victim in SF robbery

A man was assaulted with a stick and robbed in the Mid-Market area Saturday, police said. The 56-year-old victim was crossing the unit block of Sixth Street around 5:45 a.m. when a man wielding a stick walked up behind him and hit him in the shoulder, police Officer Albie Esparza said. The 28-year-old victim was walking near 17th and Mission streets around 11:25 p.m. when he was attacked by two men in their late 20s, police said. Two men were shot and another was fired upon during a robbery in The City at the start of President’s Day Weekend, police said. The first shooting happened Friday around 3:10 p.m. in the Lower Haight, police said. A 21-year-old man was sitting in a car in the unit block of Potomac Street when he was shot several times by a suspect described as a man in his 20s. Woman robbed of $10,000 in broad daylight in South City

A woman was robbed of more than $10,000 after cashing a check at a bank in South San Francisco on Saturday, police said. The woman was robbed as she walked on  El Camino Real toward Southwood Drive about 4:15 p.m. The crook leaped out of a van, pushed her to the ground and then grabbed her backpack with the cash. A store was robbed at gunpoint on Polk Street on Wednesday, police said. A man in his 40s came into the store in the 700 block of Polk Street around 2:20 p.m. brandishing a handgun and demanding the store’s cash, police said. This thug took a page from Mike Tyson’s book. A woman was bit in the ear and robbed in the Tenderloin on Wednesday, police said. The 51-year-old victim was in the 100 block of Eddy Street around 11:50 p.m. when a man in his 40s came up and jammed his hands into her pockets, police said. Merciless thugs rob men of eyeglasses, cellphone and cash in Hayes Valley assault

Two thugs beat and robbed two men in Hayes Valley early Saturday morning, police said. The suspects, described by police as men in their late 20s, approached the two victims, aged 25 and 27, at Hayes and Octavia streets around 12:45 a.m., police said. One of the thugs asked the victims for a cigarette, police said. The thug then grabbed one victim’s eyeglasses and demanded a cigarette before knocking the phone out of the second victim’s hand.
