Thug punches, kicks man in Mission Street cellphone robbery

A man was violently attacked and robbed of his cellphone in the Mission on Thursday, cops said. The 39-year-old victim was in the 2700 block of Mission Street around 2:30 a.m. when a thug, described by police as a man in his 30s, attacked, punching and kicking the victim until he fell to the ground, police said. The crook then reached into the victim’s pocket, took his cellphone and fled on bicycle, cops said. Read More

71-year-old woman robbed of pendant just one of four violent San Francisco heists Monday

A 71-year-old woman was robbed of a pendant from her necklace in Mission Terrace, one of four separate robberies by force Monday, cops said. There have been no arrests. The woman was accosted by a 25-year-old man in the 4600 block of Mission Street around 2:15 p.m., police said. The suspect grabbed the victim’s necklace, ripped the pendant off and fled. The victim, 20, and her four attackers — described by police as 16-year-old girls — were attending the party in the park around 10:30 p.m. Along with nine stab wounds to the legs, the victim brutally beaten, left with a bloody nose and bruised face, police said.
