A woman was shot by a crook attempting to steal her purse Sunday in San Francisco’s Western Addition neighborhood, police said. The bullet grazed the 49-year-old woman’s stomach and lodged into her arm in the brazen attack on Geary Boulevard near Scott Street around 3 a.m. She is expected to survive.The victim was walking west on Geary when a man in his 20s attempted to grab the purse off her shoulder, cops said.

Two bandits robbed a Chinatown jewelry store at gunpoint on Thursday, according to police. Two men, one described as in his 20s and the other his 30s, entered the business in the 800 block of Grant Avenue just before 5 p.m. One brandished a gun and the other held a bag, cops said.The crook with the bag reached behind the counter and grabbed the jewelry, police said. The two fled with the loot.

The 26-year-old victim was walking home in the 100 block of Precita Avenue around 4:40 a.m. when he was approached by two crooks, police said.
