Barbecue sauce was the weapon of choice for burglars fleeing a Bayview district apartment Saturday morning, police said. A 31-year-old woman told police she was watching TV in her home in the first block of Cameron Way about 8:30 a.m. when she heard a noise. The victim then saw three unknown men in her apartment. A taxi driver was robbed by a customer at knife-point in the South of Market district Wednesday night, police said. The hack heist was reported in the 1000 block of Folsom Street, near Sixth Street, at about 8:45 p.m. The suspect hailed the taxi, went on a ride and then put the knife to the cab driver’s neck, police said. A man was beaten unconscious in a brazen Mission district robbery early Wednesday morning, police said. The 46-year-old victim was walking near 22nd and Mission streets at about 1:50 a.m. on Wednesday when five hooligans attacked him, police said. The victim was hit numerous times in the head until he was knocked out. After the assault, the crooks stole the man's wallet and cellphone and fled, police said.
