A 7-year-old girl who was struck by a garbage truck Wednesday morning along The Embarcadero suffered a serious foot injury, according to police. The girl and her 66-year-old grandmother were hit about 7:30 a.m. at Broadway and The Embarcadero, police Officer Albie Esparza said. Body found in San Francisco Bay thought to be missing Dodgers fan

A man's body was found in the water along San Francisco's Embarcadero this morning, but authorities say it is too early to tell whether the body is that of Los Angeles Dodgers fan Victor Murillo, who went missing after a baseball game last week. However, a friend of Murillo's said his family has been told that the clothes found on the body match the items worn by their loved one when he disappeared. Read More

A controversial luxury condo project planned near the northern Embarcadero waterfront is being shopped to city agencies for a stamp of approval, after some neighbors sued to kill the development. The project at 8 Washington St. would replace a surface parking lot with 165 condos, retail, restaurants and underground parking.
