The commemorative plaque honoring home run king Barry Bonds' record 756th clout has gone missing from AT&T Park.
San Francisco Giants spokeswoman Staci Slaughter said Tuesday night that the reigning World Series champions in the process of replacing the plaque, which hung on the brick facade inside the ballpark beneath the flag court area in right-center field until a few days ago. The team is investigating where the missing hardware might be, Slaughter said.

The Marlins say star outfielder Giancarlo Stanton has a bruised left shoulder that does not require a trip to the disabled list, but he is going to miss his second straight game.
Stanton had an MRI Saturday morning after complaining of discomfort in the shoulder and missing Friday night's game against the Phillies. The test showed no structural damage and he's day to day.
The Marlins are off to a 1-9 start.

San Francisco showed off its deep bullpen on a day the Cubs had to look for yet another closer this season.

Shane Victorino didn't even notice Tampa Bay's unusual five-man infield. His only thought was to make contact with the speedy Jacoby Ellsbury standing on third base.
Victorino had a well-placed RBI single into an overloaded infield in the 10th inning Saturday, lifting the Red Sox to a 2-1 win over the Rays.

Cincinnati second baseman Brandon Phillips will miss Saturday night's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates because of what Reds manager Dusty Baker termed a "family matter."
Baker said Phillips might also miss Sunday's game, the finale of the three-game series.
Phillips hit two home runs Friday as the Reds lost to the Pirates 6-5. He is hitting .318 with team-leading four homers and 10 RBIs in 10 games.

Pirates left-hander Wandy Rodriguez says he will miss his scheduled start Sunday against the Reds because of a strained left hamstring.
"I can throw on it, I can walk on it and I can run on it but the one thing I can't do yet is push off of it when I try to pitch," Rodriguez said Saturday. "It's getting a lot better and I don't think I'll miss any more starts."
