No. 12 seed Stanford defeated third-seeded Texas A&M to win the NCAA women’s tennis championship. Stanford won the national title for the 17th time. The Stanford and Cal softball teams have both have their fair share of success on the national stage over the years. But this season, neither will be playing in a super regional. Stanford fell 10-5 to Nebraska in the Lincoln Regional on Sunday, while Cal dropped a 3-1 game to host Michigan in the Ann Arbor Regional, ending both schools’ season.
