No. 12 seed Stanford defeated third-seeded Texas A&M to win the NCAA women’s tennis championship. Stanford won the national title for the 17th time. Stanford, Cal softball teams eliminated from postseason

The Stanford and Cal softball teams have both have their fair share of success on the national stage over the years. But this season, neither will be playing in a super regional. Stanford fell 10-5 to Nebraska in the Lincoln Regional on Sunday, while Cal dropped a 3-1 game to host Michigan in the Ann Arbor Regional, ending both schools’ season. Top-ranked Cal off to hot start at NCAA regional

No. 1 Cal fired a school and course-record 23-under-par score of 265 in Thursday’s opening round at the NCAA Pullman Regional to take the lead after the first 18 holes of the 54-hole event hosted by Washington State. Stoppage-time goal salvages tie for Earthquakes

SANTA CLARA — Rookie forward Adam Jahn, a former Stanford star, scored in the second minute of second-half stoppage time to pull the San Jose Earthquakes into 1-1 draw with the Portland Timbers on Sunday night. Stanford fall in overtime in Pac-12 tournament

LAS VEGAS — Jahii Carson scored five of his 34 points in overtime, Carrick Felix had 19 points and 12 rebounds, and Arizona State held off Stanford 89-88 in the opening round of the Pac-12 tournament on Wednesday.
