The Stanford women’s basketball team continued its quest for a fifth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament’s Final Four with a dominating 72-55 victory over West Virginia in a second-round game at the Ted Constant Convocation Center in Norfolk, Va.The victory was the 30th in a row for the Cardinal (33-1), the top-seeded team in the Fresno Region. Stanford’s only loss came against Connecticut 68-58 on Nov. 21.

The Stanford women’s basketball team is expected to be at full strength tonight in its second-round NCAA Tournament matchup against No. 8 West Virginia, after sophomore forward Chiney Ogwumike participated in a light workout Sunday and is expected to play despite a bruised right knee.
