A man who was shot in the head while sitting in a car at the corner of 18th and Bryant streets Thursday evening was pronounced dead Friday and was identified Monday by the San Francisco Medical Examiner as 28-year old San Francisco resident Giovanni Lechado.
A woman in the car, described by friends as the man's wife, was also shot and sustained life-threatening injuries, according to police. A four-month-old infant that was in the car at the time of the attack was not injured. Read More

A Contra Costa County sheriff's office spokesman identified 49-year-old Felix Sandoval Jr. Sunday as the man who was killed after he fatally shot a 44-year-old woman and a Martinez police sergeant Saturday near a hair salon in Martinez.

Two people were shot inside a vehicle in the Potrero Hill neighborhood Saturday night, according to the Police Department.
The shooting was reported around 9:15 p.m. at 23rd and Arkansas streets, police said. The victims drove to the hospital and were reportedly in stable condition.
