A 21-year-old San Francisco woman who was fighting for her life after being sprayed with bullets while walking on the sidewalk in Diamond Heights on Tuesday afternoon is “doing better than yesterday,” police said.
However, it’s too soon to say if she’s going to pull through, Officer Samson Chan said.

A 21-year-old woman is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after she was shot four times, police said Wednesday.
Police responded to a call that a shooting had occurred in the 5300 block of Diamond Heights Boulevard around 3 p.m., police Officer Samson Chan said.

Police said Sunday they are continuing an investigation into a fatal shooting in the Bayview district of a 20-year-old man from Berkeley, The City’s 16th homicide this year.
The Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as Stephen Powell. Police were called to the unit block of Garlington Court around 7 p.m. Saturday, and they found Powell with a gunshot wound. He died at the scene, according to police. Read More
