Erin Sherbert, who writes on the popular blog The Snitch for SF Weekly, has been named to the newly created position of director of online news for the San Francisco Newspaper Co.
Sherbert will oversee digital news content for all three of the company’s publications: The San Francisco Examiner, San Francisco Bay Guardian and SF Weekly. She will help management with the direction, content and evolution of the company’s editorial products. Read More

The San Francisco Examiner has named Stephen Buel its new editor in chief.Buel, who was previously the city editor, brings more than 30 years of journalism experience to his new role. Before coming to the paper in January 2011, Buel served for more than nine years as top editor of the East Bay Express.
