Spare the Air Day declared Thursday

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District has declared Thursday a Spare the Air Day as a result of unhealthy air forecasted. Hot temperatures and light winds are expected to produce unhealthy air throughout the region Thursday, prompting the Air Quality District to urge residents to cut down on fuel use. To help prevent smog, residents are encouraged to drive less, take public transit, walk, bike, carpool, link necessary trips and postpone errands if possible. Read More

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District has declared Friday a "Spare the Air" day, marking the third consecutive day the health advisory has been issued and the 11th time this season.
