A man was beaten unconscious in a brazen Mission district robbery early Wednesday morning, police said. The 46-year-old victim was walking near 22nd and Mission streets at about 1:50 a.m. on Wednesday when five hooligans attacked him, police said. The victim was hit numerous times in the head until he was knocked out. After the assault, the crooks stole the man's wallet and cellphone and fled, police said. A college student visiting family during his spring break was killed in an apparent gang-related shooting in San Francisco’s Mission district early Saturday morning, a police spokesman said.Around 3 a.m., the 19-year-old man was walking with a friend near the intersection of 24th and Bryant streets when a car approached. Man shot to death in Bayview car last week identified

A man who was found fatally shot in a car in San Francisco's Bayview District last week has been identified by the medical examiner's office as 32-year-old Dwayne Tatum. The shooting was reported at 3:22 p.m. on March 18 in the 1300 block of Thomas Avenue. Tatum, a San Francisco resident, was found sitting in a car with gunshot wounds to his head and chest. He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. Read More

A man who was injured in a triple shooting at a nightclub in San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood early this morning is in critical condition but is expected to survive, a police officer said.
