Police response to false alarm creates stir on 19th Avenue

Police activity created a stir at a gas station on San Francisco's 19th Avenue today before officers determined the call they were responding to had no merit. Jogger has run-in with car and fist

The passenger of a car assaulted a jogger who complained the vehicle’s driver had cut him off at a city crosswalk Monday, police said. The runner was in the crosswalk at Page and Laguna streets around 8:15 a.m. when he was cut off, police said, citing “many witnesses.” The runner stopped, placed his hands on the driver’s window and asked, “Why did you do this?” police said. A homeless man laying claim to a Tenderloin alley forced another transient pay him for the right to stay there, police said. The victim told cops he was robbed by the homeless man early Saturday morning in the Cedar Street alley near Larkin Street, police said. The man who claimed the alley was his blocked the victim’s path, took money out of his pockets and said, “This is my alley and if you stay here you’re gonna get taxed,” police said. Read More

A 63-year-old man was stabbed and robbed while walking down a Mission district street Tuesday night, police said. Three cowards ganged up on the man at 16th and Capp streets around 10:30 p.m., police said. One of the punks grabbed him from behind. Another came up and punched him in the stomach. Shooting revives stun gun debate

Last weekend’s fatal shooting of a man by a San Francisco police officer prompted officials to call for cops to be armed with stun guns. An unidentified man was shot and killed by a police officer Sunday after a confrontation that reportedly involved the man displaying a gun. Two women ought to look into a shared-minutes plan. An argument between the ferocious females over a phone came to blows Saturday around 4:45 p.m. on the unit block of Sears Street, police said.
