A tourist saw a side of San Francisco he would rather have skipped on Saturday.The visitor was robbed of cash at gunpoint at Grant Avenue and Pine Street around 4:42 a.m., police said.The tourist also saw The City’s police in action. After he called police, who broadcasted the crook’s description, there was a swift arrest in the downtown area. The tourist later identified the crook for cops and the suspect was booked into Central Station, police said.

The man accused of killing a Sacramento woman and torching her body and car in San Francisco's Lower Haight neighborhood early Monday is being charged with murder and arson, the San Francisco District Attorney's Office said Wednesday.
Almon Johnson, 29, is expected to be arraigned on the charges in San Francisco Superior Court on Thursday morning, District Attorney's Office spokesman Seth Steward said.

The members voted this month between Jan. 10-21. Come Saturday, however, the results were not known. A fatal stabbing in the Lower Haight neighborhood during a fight last week has been deemed self-defense, keeping the alleged stabber from facing criminal charges.
