ACT Conservatory Awards: On Jan. 24 at the Westin St. Francis hotel, American Conservatory Theater presented its inaugural awards to honor training-program alumni and pay tribute to major donors. ‘Bella Notte’: The San Francisco Ballet opened its 79th season Thursday with a gala performance in the War Memorial Opera House and Italian-themed black-tie fundraising dinners, hosted by the S.F.
