A water main break opened a massive hole in the street at Sunnydale Avenue and Cora Street on Tuesday morning. Flooding left homes in the neighborhood with little to no water pressure, but it was restored by early evening, according to the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission.
Employees at nearby Pump Repair Service said the business suffered damage when the water level outside rose above a foot.

Construction crews at Geary and Stockton streets – in the heart of Union Square – have hit a water main Thursday evening, causing water to spew into the air and over the roadways.
The break occurred around 5 p.m. According to San Francisco Public Utilities Commission spokesman Tyrone Jue, a construction company working on the Central Subway project in the main causing the break.

A truck hit a fire hydrant while parking in Redwood City on Wednesday afternoon, sending water dozens of feet in the air and into a nearby furniture store.
The accident occurred at about 1 p.m. at Broadway and Cassia streets.
Firefighters quickly responded and shut off the water, soaking themselves in the process.
Damage was reported at the Great Western Furniture store located at 1748 Broadway St., in front of the fire hydrant.
