Cabbie robbed at knifepoint in Western Addition

A cab driver was robbed at knifepoint in the Western Addition on Thursday, police said. The 70-year-old cabbie picked up the thief, described as a man in his 50s, and drove him to the intersection of Sutter and Baker streets around 1:50 a.m., police said. The passenger then pulled out a knife, put it to the cabbie’s throat, and demanded cash. The cab driver complied and the thug fled on foot, police said. A 52-year-old man was shot in the buttocks while working on his car in the Bayview on Wednesday, police said. The victim told police he heard about a half-dozen gunshots before realizing he’d been shot near the intersection of Hudson Avenue and Bertha Lane around 11:45 p.m. The injured man’s friend drove him to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which were not life threatening. Man survives shooting in San Francisco Bayview district

A 23-year-old survived multiple gunshot wounds in the Bayview on Tuesday, police said. A shooting between two groups erupted at around 10 p.m. in the unit block of Doublerock Street. An unknown suspect shot the victim several times and both groups fled the scene, police said.
