A cab driver was robbed at knifepoint in the Western Addition on Thursday, police said. The 70-year-old cabbie picked up the thief, described as a man in his 50s, and drove him to the intersection of Sutter and Baker streets around 1:50 a.m., police said. The victim told police he heard about a half-dozen gunshots before realizing he’d been shot near the intersection of Hudson Avenue and Bertha Lane around 11:45 p.m. The injured man’s friend drove him to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which were not life threatening.
