San Francisco stomach stabbing sans suspect

A man who was stabbed in the stomach in the Mission district Sunday refused to talk to cops about his attacker. Police say the 57-year-old victim is expected to survive the knifing, which occurred at 24th and Osage streets around 3:50 p.m., police said. Cab driver robbed at gunpoint in Western Addition

A cab driver was robbed at gunpoint in the Western Addition on Thursday, cops said. The 56-year-old driver picked up the suspect at 18th and Castro streets around 11 p.m., police said. When the cab got to O’Farrell and Beideman streets the crook pulled out a gun and demanded the cabbie’s money, cops said. The driver complied and the crook fled on foot. More than 350 pot plants were seized and a 25-year-old man was arrested after an alleged grow house was busted in the Sunset district. Officers had been investigating a home in the 2100 block of 17th Avenue for several weeks, and served a search warrant at about 5:20 p.m. Wednesday, police Sgt. Mike Andraychak said. A man caught stealing computers Thursday in the South of Market area gave them back when confronted by the victim, cops said. A 52-year-old man who lives in the 400 block of Bryant Street heard noises coming from his front door around 5:10 a.m., police said. A 35-year-old woman struggled to hold onto her laptop in a brazen theft not far from AT&T Park on Tuesday, police said. A 19-year-old man approached the victim at 4th and Townsend streets around 7 p.m. and attempted to grab her laptop, cops said.
