A wheelchair-bound man was assaulted during a heartless robbery attempt in the Tenderloin on Sunday morning, police said.The 60-year-old victim was ruthlessly beaten after trying to wheel away from the robber at Eddy and Taylor streets around 7:35 a.m.A 31-year-old man was arrested at the scene shortly after the assault. A fire damaged an apartment in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood Thursday morning, a fire spokeswoman said.The one-alarm fire was reported at 8:39 a.m. at a six-story apartment building in the 200 block of Hyde Street, San Francisco fire Lt. A thieving thug hurled a tip jar inside a Tenderloin restaurant Monday, injuring a person, but only after pocketing the tips, police said.The suspect waltzed into the eatery on the 900 block of Larkin Street, swiped the tip jar, pocketed its money, and then hurled the jar at a person who chased after him around 7:20 p.m., police said.A 53-year-old male victim suffered minor injuries after being struck by the jar. Uptown Tenderloin Historical District has created a walking map of the area and is distributing it to bars, restaurants, cafes and hotels. The map highlights the neighborhood’s ethnic diversity, cutting-edge art and nightlife and more than 30 historic buildings listed in the National Registry of Historic Places. Craigslist computer sale ends in robbery

A 20-year-old woman hoping to sell her computer on Craigslist agreed to meet a potential buyer in the Tenderloin district Wednesday and was robbed at gunpoint, police said. The suspect, described as a black man in his late 30s or early 40s, responded to the Craigslist advertisement, police said.
