Patric Young scored a career-high 25 points, Erving Walker made some huge free throws down the stretch, and No. 12 Florida rallied to beat Arizona 78-72 in overtime Wednesday night.
Walker finished with 14 points, including seven in the extra frame. He overcame a poor shooting night from the field (3 of 16) and a miserable performance from 3-point range (1 of 9).

Syracuse assistant basketball coach Bernie Fine says allegations that he molested two former ball boys for years are "patently false."
The school placed Fine on administrative leave Thursday "in light of the new allegations" and an investigation by the Syracuse City Police.

The Oklahoma State University women's basketball coach and his assistant were killed when the single-engine plane transporting them on a recruiting trip crashed in steep terrain in Arkansas, the university said Friday.
Kurt Budke and Miranda Serna died in the accident Thursday afternoon in the Winona Wildlife Management Area near Perryville, about 45 miles west of Little Rock.

It’s been 49 years since the City College of San Francisco men’s basketball team had the joy of hoisting the state championship trophy. The lengthy wait came to an end Sunday.
In a thrilling, back-and-forth game, City College captured its first California Community College Athletic Association Championship since 1962 with a 83-81 victory over Citrus College at Ventura College.
