Arrest in Starbucks boiling water assault

A homeless man was recently arrested on charges that he poured boiling water on a customer at a Starbucks in Fisherman’s Wharf, causing third degree burns. The Feb. 20 assault reportedly occurred after the customer confronted the transient for allegedly stealing boxes of tea from the coffee shop at 2801 Jones St. “In response, the thief threw a cup of boiling water on the man’s chest,” police at Central Station said. A man who attempted to use a stolen credit card at the famous Joe’s Crab Shack in Fisherman’s Wharf on Tuesday was arrested after the manager became suspicious. About 2:15 p.m., police said, officers arrived at the Jefferson Street eatery, where the manager pointed out the crook. Woman robbed in Fisherman's Wharf

A woman was robbed inside a Fisherman’s Wharf business Monday morning, police said.The 34-year-old victim had just opened up the store in the 300 block of Jefferson Street about 9:15 a.m. when the suspect followed her inside. He told her to “give him the money or he was going to shoot her,” police said. However, no gun was seen.
