Midday heist downtown targets grocery deliveryman

Famished thieves robbed a grocery deliveryman in downtown San Francisco Monday afternoon. At about 2:45 p.m., police said, one of two suspects approached the 51-year-old victim from behind in the 200 block of Kearny Street, stuck a knife on his back and demanded his property. Cellphone thefts not only run rampant on San Francisco streets, they also can happen right in your work cubicle. An office in downtown San Francisco was reportedly burglarized in the middle of the workday Thursday, the second such heist in a week. Working crook blends in at downtown San Francisco office, makes off with iPad

The facelessness of corporate culture apparently led to a burglary in San Francisco’s Financial District on Thursday. At about noon, police said, a crook waltzed unnoticed into an office on the 100 block of Second Street, sat at a desk, talked on the phone, then made off with an iPad. Search for shooter in Financial District continues; victim taken to hospital for injuries

A daytime shooting in South Beach neighborhood sent one man to the hospital with a chest wound and shut down Market Street in downtown for more than an hour Thursday afternoon after the victim and his driver tried to find help in the Financial District. The shooting, which occurred just after 3:45 p.m. Thursday, happened in the first block of Bryant Street, near The Embarcadero. The victim was described by police as a man in his 30s. Read More
