West Virginia routs Clemson 70-33 in Orange Bowl

The West Virginia Mountaineers were tough to slow down, and only the Orange Bowl mascot could stop Darwin Cook. Geno Smith tied the record for any bowl game with six touchdown passes, and the No. 23-ranked Mountaineers set a bowl scoring record Wednesday night with their high-powered offense. Marshall uses big runs to beat Texas-El Paso 76-60

Dennis Tinnon posted his seventh double-double of the season as Marshall used two big runs to defeat Texas-El Paso 76-60 Wednesday night in the Conference USA opener for both teams. Tinnon scored 15 points, 13 in the second half, and grabbed 10 rebounds to help the Thundering Herd snap a two-game skid. Terrance Henry scored 13 points, including four points in the final two minutes, to lead Mississippi over Southern Methodist 50-48 on Tuesday night. Florida's special teams came up big in the Gator Bowl, scoring twice as the Gators beat Ohio State 24-17 on Monday in a game between Urban Meyer's old team and his future one. Ryan Kelly had 18 points and 12 rebounds to help No. 7 Duke beat Pennsylvania 85-55 on Sunday. Seth Curry added 15 points for the Blue Devils (12-1), who scored 20 of the game's first 24 points to run out to a big early lead.
