Within a 24-hour period, San Francisco police officers seized seven guns and seven suspects in four separate incidents. Four of the suspects were youths.

A San Francisco flower vendor was the subject of an ugly racial epitaph on Wednesday, the second time in less than two years that his place of business has been targeted.
Unknown perpetrators used feces to scrawl out a racial slur on a wall behind the flower stand run by Guy Clark, who is African-American.
