Man stabbed while walking dog in Duboce Park

A man’s early morning stroll through Duboce Park on Thursday with his dog, which was not on a leash, ended in a confrontation with a knife-wielding thug, police Officer Gordon Shyy said. About 1:30 a.m., the 38-year-old victim passed by a man who was standing by a bench, Shyy said. Savage bar beating suspect pleads not guilty

A San Carlos man pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges that he savagely beat another patron of a Belmont bar early Monday, critically injuring him. A drunken man who was reportedly enraged at his mom for refusing to hand him the keys to her car last week broke items in his parents’ Bernal Heights home, punched walls and overturned recycling bins before stomping off. 66-year-old woman socked during robbery

A 66-year-old woman was punched in the face by a vicious transient who tried to make off with her necklace in the Mission district Tuesday, police said. But the 4:21 p.m. robbery in the 3000 block of 25th Street was thwarted when witnesses flagged down police. A 24-year-old woman was shot in the leg early Tuesday while sitting in a car in the Bayview neighborhood, police said.The woman was in the passenger seat of the car at the intersection of  San Bruno Avenue and Dwight Street at about 1:10 a.m. when an unknown person approached the vehicle and opened fire, police said. Crash probe after woman struck in crosswalk

A 56-year-old woman suffered a serious head injury Monday after being struck in a crosswalk just south of Crocker Amazon Playground, according to police. Police initially reported the incident as a hit and run Tuesday morning, but have since revised their report to say the driver did stop at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
