Occupy Oakland is expected to get a jolt of star power today from actor and San Francisco native Danny Glover.
Glover is scheduled to lead a “Jobs Not Cuts” march from Laney College to a rally at the Oscar Grant Plaza, according to the protest’s website, www.occupyoakland.com.

Part of the story takes place in San Francisco; the director is from Oakland, a graduate of UC Berkeley; Danny Glover is the executive producer, and he also appears in the film just long enough to be listed in the cast.
