A police raid Tuesday on a Potrero Hill home inhabited by squatters reportedly turned up several stolen items.

Bayview Station Capt. Robert O'Sullivan has released images of some of the items hoping their rightful owners will reclaim them. They can be viewed on the right-hand side of this page.

Several bicycles, an electric scooter, a moped, laptops and other electronics were found inside the vacant home in the 1300 block of DeHaro Street, O'Sullivan said.

Officers were reportedly acting on a tip when they visited the property Tuesday.

“The suspects had cut the lock on the front gate of the residence, replacing it with their own, and were using a generator for power,” O'Sullivan said.

The officers knocked and were ignored by the squatters, police said. The property's owner gave the officers a green light to bust down the door. Five people were arrested on trespassing charges.

One of the suspects had a no-bail burglary warrant for his arrest, O'Sullivan said.

Anyone hoping to reclaim property should contact Lt. James Aherne of the Bayview Investigations Team at (415) 671-2300 or through email at James.Aherne@sfgov.org.
