Warriors guard Klay Thompson was voted to play in this year’s Rising Stars Challenge by coaches from across the NBA.

Following a night in which he helped fill in for injured teammates contributing to a win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, Warriors guard Klay Thompson was one of 18 players chosen for the Rising Stars Challenge in Houston on Feb. 15.

Rookie teammate Harrison Barnes also made the cut to represent the Warriors in the game featuring top rookies and second-year players.

Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal will again serve as general managers and draft teams during TNT’s pregame show Feb. 7.

Cleveland star Kyrie Irving, the MVP of last year’s Rising Stars Challenge, will headline the game. Cavaliers teammates Dion Waiters, Tristan Thompson and Tyler Zeller also were picked.

Rookie stars Damian Lillard of Portland and Anthony Davis of New Orleans, the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, also were selected.

The remainder of the roster is: Kemba Walker and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (Charlotte), Brandon Knight and Andre Drummond (Detroit), Bradley Beal (Washington), Kenneth Faried (Denver), Kawhi Leonard (San Antonio), Chandler Parsons (Houston), Alexey Shved (Minnesota) and Nikola Vucevic (Orlando).
