SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Tim Lincecum allowed three runs on four hits Tuesday night in his first spring training start since Feb. 26. The San Francisco Giants right-hander threw two scoreless innings before being undone in his third inning of work in the San Diego Padres' 6-2 win over the Giants.

Lincecum, the former two-time NL Cy Young Award winner who struggled to a 10-15 record last season, missed the past two weeks of spring training games with a blister on his right middle finger.

Lincecum threw 43 pitches, two under the limit manager Bruce Bochy had set. He lasted 2 1-3 innings and struck out three with a walk.

Alexi Amarista and Mark Kotsay had run-scoring hits in the third off Lincecum and Jesus Guzman drove in two with a fifth-inning double. Padres starter Freddy Garcia, trying to win the fifth spot in the starting rotation, struck out six in four innings of work and allowed one run, a walk and three hits, including a solo home run from Giants pinch hitter Johnny Monell in the bottom of the third.
