Going yard: The A’s Brandon Moss stretched his hitting streak to seven games with a two-run home run in the second inning off Indians pitcher Zach McAllister.

Brandon Moss homered and had three RBIs to back six scoreless innings from Tommy Milone as the A’s extended their winning streak to four games with a 7-0 blanking of the host Cleveland Indians on Tuesday.

Chris Carter also homered, collected three hits and drove in a pair of runs to help the surging A’s win for the 10th time in 12 games and remain tied with the Baltimore Orioles atop the American League wild-card standings.

Milone (11-9) won his second straight start, giving up seven hits while striking out five and walking one as Oakland blanked Cleveland for the second straight night.

Losers of 12 of 13 games, the Indians have not scored in their past 22 innings and have pushed across only 11 runs in their past nine games.

The A’s jumped on Indians right-hander Zach McAllister for two runs in the second and two more in the third on a towering homer to center by Moss, his 14th of the year. Carter’s solo blast in the fifth made it 5-0.

McAllister (5-5) lasted only 4¹⁄³ innings, allowing five runs — four earned — on nine hits, and Carlos Santana had two of the eight hits for the Indians, who stranded nine runners.

NOTES: Moss extended his hitting streak to seven games. He has hit safely in 10 of his past 11 games. ... Cleveland’s last run came in the fifth inning of Sunday’s 4-2 loss to the New York Yankees. ... A’s outfielder Coco Crisp sat out Tuesday’s game with a sore right foot.
