The 49ers will wear their red home jerseys for the Super Bowl on Feb. 3 in New Orleans, according to a report by Comcast SportsNet Bay Area. This will mark the fourth time the Niners will wear red in the Super Bowl, doing so previously in 1983, 1988 and 1994 seasons.
San Francisco is the designated home team and had the choice of jersey. The AFC and NFC rotate seasons as the home team.
