Robert Doornbos will go down as the last winner of the San Jose Grand Prix after the operators of the race ceased operations due to increased downtown development. The Champ Car race will move south to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey beginning next year. The race was held on the streets of downtown San Jose the last three years.
