Rolando McClain was given permission to seek a trade by the Raiders.

Rolando McClain’s tumultuous run with the Raiders is on the rocks, and likely coming to an end.

McClain was granted permission to seek a trade by the Raiders, the NFL Network reported. The Raiders have turned over more than 33 percent of the roster since Reggie McKenzie was hired as general manager in 2012.

The eighth overall pick in 2010 after an All-American season at Alabama, McClain is expected to be released. Teams are aware the Raiders are ready to part ways with McClain and his $4 million salary in 2013.

The two haven’t been on amicable terms since McClain was demoted in favor of Omar Gaither and suspended two games for his reaction to the news for conduct detrimental to the team.
