Check out what our staff and columnists predict will happen in this year's Super Bowl between the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens.
Tell us your prediction in the comments section below.
Columnist Glenn Dickey:
- 49ers 28, Ravens 24
- Balance prevails for 49ers, who don’t need a field goal to win.
Columnist Mychael Urban:
- 49ers 31, Ravens 17
- At this point, picking against the Niners seems sacrilege, and since when do they lose in the Super Bowl? Crabtree has national coming-out party in S.F. victory that’s closer than it looks.
Columnist Paul Gackle:
- Ravens 27, 49ers 24
- The 49ers run into the most balanced attack they’ve faced all season. The Ravens’ best defense against the 49ers’ read-option offense is putting together long drives and keeping Kaepernick and Co. on the sideline. The game goes down to the wire and David Akers pulls the game-tying field goal wide left.
Sports editor Dylan Kruse:
- 49ers 30, Ravens 23
- The 49ers’ rushing attack with QB Colin Kaepernick and running back Frank Gore proves to be too versatile, even for Ray Lewis’ last ride. The Ravens will make a few big plays in the passing game, but the 49ers defense will keep Ravens RB Ray Rice in check.
