That’s right, the same treatment high-profile politicians receive was given to people who pound away at keyboards and flap their gums for a living.
Motorcycle sirens blared as traffic was halted and we zoomed through the downtown streets of the Big Easy. And easy it was. It’s the kind of treatment one can get used to, particularly on a Friday at 5 p.m. in the Bay Area, where it would clearly come in use more.
We certainly had the people on the streets of New Orleans fooled. Onlookers gawked, waved and shouted as the buses passed by, probably assuming Ray Lewis or Colin Kaepernick was behind the tinted window.
No such luck. Instead, it was just a motley looking crew wondering when the next free meal was coming.
