Cornerback Darcel McBath signed a one-year deal with the 49ers on Monday.

A second-round pick by the Denver Broncos out of Texas Tech in 2009, McBath has played in 21 career games, with one start. In San Francisco, he reunites with secondary coach Ed Donatell, who was his position coach with the Broncos from 2009-10.

He was released by Denver on Sept. 4 last year and was out of the league until signing with Jacksonville on Dec. 12 to help the Jaguars’ injury-ravaged secondary.

Trio lands on injury lists: Linebacker Darius Fleming was placed on the active/physically unable to perform list by the 49ers, who also placed guard Joe Looney and running back Jewel Hampton on the active/non-football injury lists.

Players on both lists count against the 90-player roster limit and can be activated before the final cuts of training camp. If they’re not activated before the season and remain on the roster, they are then placed on the regular season physically unable to perform list or injured reserve.

Robinson branches out: 49ers radio play-by-play man Ted Robinson has been hired as one of the primary broadcasters for football on the new Pac-12 Networks. Robinson’s first Pac-12 call will come Aug. 31 when Stanford hosts San Jose State at 7 p.m.
