San Francisco Bulls can’t dig out of early hole

The San Francisco Bulls fell behind in the second period and could never recover Sunday during a 4-2 loss to the Bakersfield Condors at the Cow Palace.

Bakersfield jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second period on goals from Francis Verreault and Jacob Lagace only 11 seconds apart. The Condors extended their lead to 3-0 on a shorthanded goal by Nicholas Tremblay.

San Franciso’s Peter Sivak put the Bulls on the board at 7:50 of the second period and Kris Belan made it 3-2 in the third period, but Lagace put the game on ice with empty-netter at the end.

The Bulls hit the road to take on the Stockton Thunder on Friday.

NOTES: Sivak has scored a goal in three straight games. ... The Bulls out-shot the Condors 41-30. ... The Bulls are 5-2-0-1 against the Condors this
season.
