SOMA stabbing leaves man with serious injuries

A 56-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries in a stabbing in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood late Wednesday night, according to police.

The stabbing was reported at 11:41 p.m. in the 900 block of Howard Street.

A witness saw the victim on the ground in a parking lot with a man standing over him. The man then got into a car and fled west on Howard Street, while the victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for stab wounds to his right abdomen, police said.

The suspect, described as a man between 35 and 45 years old, remains at large, police said.
