Snoop Dogg suing Pabst over sweet beer deal

Snoop Dogg wanted his name to be synonymous with fruit-flavored beer. Pabst shattered that dream, and now the world’s leading purveyor of booze- flavored water must pay, according to a lawsuit the rapper filed Monday.

Snoop’s lawsuit says Pabst Brewing Co. breached his contract when it sold off the Colt 45 malt beer line, including the fruity brew Blast by Colt 45, which Snoop endorsed. The sale was part of a larger deal to sell Pabst to entrepreneur Eugene Kashper and San Francisco-based TSG Consumer Partners LLC, according to The Associated Press.

The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles, seeks 10 percent of the net sales price for Colt 45, which has apparently fallen on hard times since it ended its long-term relationship with heartthrob pitchman Billy Dee Williams in the early 1990s. The price of Colt 45 was not disclosed, though the lawsuit claims Pabst was sold for $700 million.

In addition to Colt 45 and the PBR beloved by hipsters everywhere, Pabst Brewing Co. makes Old Milwaukee and Schlitz, and probably deserves to be punished for that alone.

MOSS ESCORTED FROM FLIGHT
Europe’s EasyJet may be the equivalent of a Greyhound bus with wings, but supermodel Kate Moss expects prompt liquor service even on a discount airline — or else.

Moss was escorted from a plane in London on Sunday night after reportedly calling the pilot a “basic bitch” after a flight attendant refused to fetch her a drink, according to The Guardian.

If one believes the Daily Mail — and there are many reasons to doubt a newspaper that once ran the story “Is There No One Left in Britain Who Can Make a Sandwich?” — the 41-year-old British bombshell also responded to the flight attendant’s affront by fetching vodka from her carry-on luggage (presumably in 3-ounce bottles) and taking a swig.

Police declined to arrest Moss, who had inexplicably chosen the no-frills airline to ferry her home from a lavish Turkish vacation.
