Skateboarder strikes BART rider in the face at Embarcadero station

A woman was struck in the face with a skateboard during an assault at Embarcadero BART station on Saturday afternoon, according to transit officials.

The woman was in the station when a young man and a teenager attacked her around 12:32 p.m., according to BART officials. Authorities said the man hit her in the face and the teenager “tried to batter her.”

No arrests were reported. The woman suffered only minor injuries.
